Hi Allison,
Thank you for all the help this past year! All your posts have been super impactful.
I know you aren't super keen on giving "advice" but I'd love to hear what you would do in the following scenario as I love absorbing different points of view.
I currently have a crush on my coworker and it is the first time I've felt this way since my partner of 8 years left me 2 days before our scheduled wedding last September. He started a couple months ago, I have really enjoyed his company / our conversations and I think we would really hit it off. I have only spent 1:1 time with him once (after a NBA game we went out with a 3rd co-worker) and it was great. I know he is very committed to learning all he can in his new role and it is very demanding. I'd love to ask him to hang out as more than friends so I'm not "stuck" in the friend zone, but I am nervous to overstep as a coworker. Our office is extremely small and although we are only going in 2 days a week (with a brief hiatus in July and August), I don't want him to feel any sort of discomfort if he does not want to go on a date.
With all that said, a 3rd coworker has voiced to me that she thinks he could be interested. Do you have any thoughts?
Thanks!
