You have summed up exactly how I've been feeling for the last 4 months about my ex-fiance leaving me. It makes me angry and sad when people tell me that I dodged a bullet. It means they're not listening to how much I loved him and (atleast in the moment) how much he loved me too, despite his actions in the end.
Completely feel the same way. Especially as I was planning to have children with him this year. "He would have left 3 years in". Well, how the hell would we know that?
